• That's the highest level of food bank usage on record.
• 38% of those turning to food banks are children.
• 7% of those helped are seniors.
• 12% of those assisted are aboriginal.
• 15% receive disability related income support.
• 17% have income from current or recent employment.
• 51% receive social assistance
• 35% of food banks ran out of food.
• 50% of food banks needed to cut back on the amount of food provided to each
