MP BEVINGTON TO RELEASE REPORT ON DIAMOND MINING INDUSTRY

November 26, 2007

YELLOWKNIFE - Western Arctic NDP Member of Parliament Dennis Bevington will host a press conference on November 29, 2007 at 7 p.m. in the Northern United Place auditorium.

Bevington will be releasing his report on the diamond mining industry entitled "Diamonds are Forever: Our Mines are Not."

This report has been in the works since May 2007, and concludes with 10 recommendations to improve and sustain the industry as a whole for the benefit of all Northerners. The press conference will be followed by a Western Arctic constituency meeting. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

MP BEVINGTON TO OPEN TUKTOYAKTUK WIND CONFERENCE

TUKTOYAKTUK - Western Arctic NDP Member of Parliament Dennis Bevington will deliver the opening address at the Remote Community Wind Energy Conference in Tuktoyaktuk on November 28. Bevington will speak to the more than 100 registered delegates during the opening ceremonies at 4:30 p.m.
